Amber Douvielle
Office Manager/Cheerleading Coach
Amber Douvielle has been coaching cheerleading for twelve years and cheered four years at Mt Blue High School for both football and competition/basketball. While in high school she was a captain on the varsity squad for three of her four years as well as being a on the KVAC All Conference Team and All American Cheerleader Nominee.
After high school she was selected to participate in the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic. She attended the University of Southern Maine where she studied Art Education.
Her coaching credentials consist of being a Mt Blue Youth Cheerleading coach, Wescott Middle School Cheerleading coach, Westbrook High School Varsity Cheerleading coach and South Portland High School Varsity Cheerleading assistant coach. She also coached at Elite All-Stars of Maine for over two years and won a national championship title in 2005.
After moving back to her hometown she was the Mt Blue Youth Cheerleading Program Advisor and has been coaching for Madison Area Memorial High School Varsity Cheerleading team for the past three seasons. This year she will be coaching at the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl classic for the West cheerleading team.
Her safety credentials include the Coaching Eligibility Certification from the University of Maine, Nationals Safety Certification from AACCA, First Aid and CPR trained and Coaches Credentialing from NCA.
Nicole Schutte has been teaching gymnastics for seven years. She joined our Decal Gymnastics staff in 2007 after starting out at Maine-ly Gymnastics. She has been a gymnast for fifteen years, both in the recreational program and as a part of the YMCA Competitive Team. Nicole, more often known as "Schutte," also worked as a counselor at the United States Gymnastics Training Center during the summer of 2008. Schutte attends Clemson University in South Carolina for Nutrition and Psychology and is a member of their gymnastics program.
Erica Blodgett has been teaching gymnastics for eight years and was a gymnast herself for seven years. During her competitive years as a gymnast she was a level four state and regional champion. She attended Lawrence High School where she was the only one member of the high school gymnastics team. She was the main instructor at our Dover gym for two years and in the fall will be our main instructor for the Farmington facility. She is currently a senior at the University of Maine at Farmington studying psychology.
Whitney Blanchet has been teaching gymnastics for one year although has worked as an assistant for Decal for many years. She has been a gymnast for twelve years and is currently a level nine. She has won state championship titles in level four, five, seven and eight. She will be entering her senior year at Skowhegan High School in the fall.
Alexis Evans has been part of Decal Gymnastics from the beginning and has been coaching for eight years. She is a graduate from Skowhegan High School where she played basketball and field hockey which included a two state championship titles. She is currently a senior at Thomas College where she is studying marketing management and plays field hockey and basketball team.
